United by Unity

We all know Unity to be a pretty powerful tool when it comes to doing what we do; develop. Well some news coming out of the Unity camp recently has been its capability to transfer over to Flash projects. That's right, soon enough, with the help of Molehill/Stage 3D (not sure if we should just stick to good old Molehill or not!), you will be able to publish from Unity to the Flash platform.

I think you'll agree this is most welcome news. For those not entirely up to date with how Unity works, they are running a "Flash Day" (Here for info) to help those who want it get up to speed. The good news is that many of the current Unity features will stay around when the full transfer does happen. As they point out themselves they aren't quite ready to ship with this yet, but when they do I think its safe to say it will be a great development in the Flash industry.

Stay tuned for other Flash, Molehill and Stage3D news in the near future,

The Mole
